About Me - Pennie Bailey

I’m Pennie Bailey, the founder and owner of The Sophisticated Lifestyle Boutique. My journey into the world of elegance and sophistication began with a personal desire to find stylish yet modest clothing. In 2018, I turned that passion into reality by opening my boutique, where I offer women high-quality fabrics, classic styles, and personalized service that exudes both luxury and grace. It’s my mission to help women dress with intention, feel confident, and embrace a sophisticated lifestyle.

In addition to my boutique, I am the founder of Evolving Elegance, a women’s group with nearly 200 members. Through this community, I help women focus on their mental, physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual well-being, guiding them to reach their full potential and live with purpose and empowerment.

I’m also the author of a book that explores the elements of a sophisticated lifestyle, from the art of fine dining and luxury travel tips to elevating your home decor. In this book, I share that sophistication is not something you can achieve overnight—it’s a journey. Living elegantly is about making intentional choices every day, nurturing your personal growth, and cultivating beauty in both grand moments and the quiet, everyday ones. Elegance isn’t about perfection; it’s about authenticity, grace, and mindfulness in how you live.

Outside of my entrepreneurial work, I enjoy blogging about my experiences as a single black mother. Through my blog, I aim to challenge stereotypes, provide advice, and create a supportive space for other single mothers to share their journeys and feel empowered.
